Can you put blinds on Sky Lights? Posted on 18 May 15:18 , 0 comments

Sky Lights and Roof Lights are popular architectural design features of many homes, particularly in new extensions, side returns and conservatories. Sky lights provide a fantastic way to optimise on light levels in a room. However, there are times when you may find that you want to reduce the light coming from your sky light and finding the right blind to provide shade is essential.

This is especially likely during the summer months when the sun is out more and the temperatures rise - Sky lights when uncovered can really cause a room to overheat, cause early wakings and another issue with too much light can be the tendency for fading of furniture, photographs, and artwork. Therefore, you need to be able to find a way to control the light & heat levels.

The cellular structure helps to regulate the heat of a room and will help to prevent bleaching of items in the home. They are available in light filtering, room darkening and sheer. With a fixed frame for Skylights the blinds won’t droop or sag with added support wires. They come with an operational pole to be able to access even hard to reach roof windows.
