Option 1: Free Home Survey & Professional Installation – Full Measure & Fit Service.
Our experienced surveyors will visit your home, discuss your requirements, and take precise measurements to ensure your shutters are manufactured to the exact specifications of your windows.
- Book your free survey: Contact our team on 020 7751 0937 or email sales@shuttershop.co.uk. Alternatively, use our Request a Survey service and we’ll contact you to arrange a convenient appointment.
- Home consultation and measuring: During your appointment, our shutter specialist will measure your windows accurately, show you available shutter styles and materials, discuss colour options and configurations, and recommend the most suitable solution for your home.
- Receive your quotation: Following the survey, we’ll provide a detailed quotation based on your chosen style, material and design requirements.
- Confirm your order: Once you’re happy with the quotation, simply confirm your order and pay the required 50% deposit. We will issue an order confirmation and require written approval before your shutters are placed into production.
- Manufacture and delivery: All of our plantation shutters are handcrafted to order and manufactured to your exact specifications. Typical lead times are approximately 9–16 weeks by sea freight or 4–7 weeks by air freight. Please refer to your quotation or order confirmation for the most up-to-date lead time estimate.
- Installation appointment: When your shutters arrive at our warehouse, we’ll contact you to arrange a convenient installation date.
- Professional installation: Our experienced installation team will fit your shutters, ensuring a perfect finish and smooth operation.

Option 2: Supply-Only Plantation Shutters
Our supply-only service is ideal for customers outside our installation area or those working with their own builder, carpenter, handyman or installer. We can still provide guidance and advice throughout the ordering process and offer you a video survey.
- Obtain a quote: Use our online quote calculator for an instant estimate, contact our team with approximate measurements and photographs, or discuss your requirements with one of our shutter specialists and have a video survey.
- Measure your windows: Accurate measurements are essential for supply-only shutters. We recommend downloading our measuring guide before placing an order.
- Place your order: Once you are satisfied with your quotation, confirm your order and pay the required deposit.
- Order confirmation: Before production begins, we will send you an order confirmation detailing all specifications. Please check all measurements, styles and configurations carefully before providing written approval.
- Manufacturing and delivery: Your shutters will be handcrafted to your exact requirements and delivered directly to your chosen address.
Supply-only shutters are manufactured using the measurements provided by you or your installer. As plantation shutters are made to measure, incorrect measurements can result in fitting issues and additional costs. For this reason, we always recommend our professional measuring and installation service wherever possible.
Option 3: DIY Shutters Online
Our Design & Buy Online service allows you to order high-quality DIY shutters directly through our website. This option is ideal for customers who are comfortable measuring and installing shutters themselves.
DIY shutters offer competitive online pricing, the same high-quality shutters as our supply and fit service, a simple online ordering process, and installation guides and support resources.
Due to the complexity of measuring and installation, bay window shutters, shaped window shutters and tracking system shutters are not currently available through our online ordering system. If you require one of these specialist shutter styles, please contact our team for advice and a personalised quotation.

- Review your order confirmation: We will send you an order confirmation to ensure every detail is correct before manufacturing begins.
- Manufacturing and delivery: Your shutters will be handcrafted to your specifications. Standard DIY lead times are typically around 7–9 weeks.
- Delivery: Your DIY shutters will be delivered directly to your door.
- Installation: Install your shutters using our online installation guides and support resources.
Order Confirmation & Important Information
Before production begins, all customers will receive an order confirmation outlining the agreed specifications. As all shutters are handcrafted and made to order, it is important that all measurements, colours, styles and configurations are checked carefully before approval.
Changes requested after confirmation may delay production, require a further survey or check measure and result in additional costs.
If our factory has any queries regarding your order, we will contact you directly to discuss the details and arrange any necessary checks.

Your quotation and order confirmation will always provide the most accurate estimate available at the time of ordering.
Once we receive confirmation that your shutters are nearing arrival, we'll contact you to arrange installation or delivery. We normally receive confirmed arrival dates approximately three weeks before your order is due.
