Home consultation and measuring
During your appointment, our shutter specialist will measure your windows accurately, show you available shutter styles and materials, discuss colour options and configurations, and recommend the most suitable solution for your home.
Receive your quotation
Following the survey, we’ll provide a detailed quotation based on your chosen style, material and design requirements.
Confirm your order
Once you’re happy with the quotation, simply confirm your order and pay the required 50% deposit. We will issue an order confirmation and require written approval before your shutters are placed into production.
Manufacture and delivery
All of our plantation shutters are handcrafted to order and manufactured to your exact specifications. Typical lead times are approximately 9–16 weeks by sea freight or 4–7 weeks by air freight. Please refer to your quotation or order confirmation for the most up-to-date lead time estimate.
Installation appointment
When your shutters arrive at our warehouse, we’ll contact you to arrange a convenient installation date.

Our own surveyors and fitters. The same team measures your windows, checks every detail of the specification with you and fits the finished shutters, so one company looks after your project from the first visit to the final adjustment. Our installers fit carefully and leave each room as they found it.
How long does installation take after my survey?
Once you confirm your order, standard made-to-measure shutters take around 12 weeks to be made and delivered, and this can increase at busy times of the year. Special shapes and custom colour matches take up to 14 weeks. When your shutters arrive, our local team contacts you to book an installation date that suits you.
Can I see shutters in person before booking a survey in Kensington?
Yes. Our showroom is at 102 Waterford Road, London SW6 2HA, in the Chelsea Design Quarter, and is open 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, by appointment. You can see all seven shutter ranges, compare paint and stain finishes and look at different louvre sizes. If you cannot visit, our surveyor brings samples to your home instead.
What if I live outside your measure and fit areas?
You can book a video survey instead. A member of our team looks at your windows with you on a video call, recommends the right style and range, and helps you take accurate measurements. You then order your made-to-measure shutters through our design and buy online service, and we deliver them anywhere in the UK, ready for you to fit.
Can I design and buy shutters online instead?
Yes. With our online DIY service you choose your style, material and colour, enter your own measurements and see your price instantly. Your shutters are made to measure and delivered to your door anywhere in the UK.
Do you fit insect screens as well as shutters in Kensington?
Yes. Our Kensington work includes a professionally surveyed and fitted window screen installation in a mansion block apartment, where we added retractable Legacy insect screens to the living room and bedroom balcony doors. As well as plantation shutters, we supply and fit fly screens for homes that need ventilation and insect protection alongside, or instead of, window dressings. Your surveyor can advise which option suits your Kensington windows and doors.
