Chelsea Design Quarter - Springtime Sessions Posted on 26 Apr 13:01 , 0 comments
There is a hub of activity this week in our Chelsea Design Quarter neighbourhood! Chelsea Design Quarter in conjunction with BIID on Tuesday kicked off its inaugural 'Springtime Sessions' a three day convention encompassing design and trend led talks and events from some of our neighbours and leading creatives within the industry. The Shutter Shop team have felt very privileged to have such inspirational figures in interior design speaking on our doorstep and have taken every opportunity to go and have a listen and learn!
The week began at BAGNODESIGN, the luxury international bathroom company, with Lindsay Blair, Editor of Kitchens, Bedrooms & Bathrooms Magazine giving a fantastic talk on 'How to get your Project Featured in a Magazine', this talk was extremely insightful and provided us with lots of ideas for future projects going forward. Now to put some of her tips into action with our Shutter Projects and Installations!
Next up we headed to John Cullen Lighting to listen to a panel discussion on Bathroom Design Trends: Colours, Lighting & Products, hosted by John Cullen Lighting with Reed Harris Tiles, Drummonds Bathrooms and Designed by Woulfe. An inspiring, informative and energetic discussion offering lots of helpful advice and takeaways.
Clearly with bathrooms on our brain, we have finished our week at The Roca London Gallery, the incredible Zaha Hadid Architects designed space down by Imperial Wharf, having a tour of their beautiful, innovative and unique showroom. Quite inspiring.
With so much going on and the Springtime Sessions continuing until this evening at Tom Faulkner with Deidre Dyson and Maurizio Pellizzoni in conversation about 'Love it or Hate it: Instagram for Interiors' we only wish there was less work to be done in The Shutter Shop office and more time to go and hear more from everyone! Thank you Chelsea Design Quarter for putting on such a great week of events, you have inspired us! We look forward to next time and perhaps an opportunity to talk about Shutters!
