Solid Shutters in Oxfordshire Posted on 28 Apr 09:20 , 0 comments

Our clients came to us looking for a more traditional look for their window dressings in keeping with their countryside Oxfordshire home. They decided upon our Solid Raised Panel Shutter Range, favouring the simplicity they provide, in full height, with no slats, providing them with maximum light (and views!) when fully opened, and providing significant blackout & cosy insulation when closed. They were looking to cover both windows and doors within their home.

In properties that are not overlooked or street facing and perhaps in a more rural setting, the requirement of privacy during the day which is provided with louvered shutters is not as essential, solid panel shutters can be a good consideration. In this home there were beautiful far reaching views and therefore the clients wanted the shutters to be fully folded back during the daytime. Our clients selected to have the wooden shutters with a painted finish from one of the 28 custom colours available in this range (a stain finish is also available).

Solid Panel Shutters are often selected for period properties, perhaps in replacement of original shutters that may have been in place, or they are sometimes selected by clients wanting to add a traditional element to a more modern home. They have a classic timeless look, are bespoke to your windows and are manufactured using the finest hardwood, they are a premium level product which will stand the test of time.

Additional benefits of Solid Panel Shutters are additional sound & heat insulation, maximum privacy when closed, maximum window coverage for darkness when closed.
