Decorex International 2017 came to a close after four successful days where The Shutter Shop exhibited alongside 400 established and new designers. Now in it's 40th edition, the September event at Syon Park celebrated another great year for design with plenty of inspiration for interior design professionals to discover the finest and most coveted luxury products. The Future Heritage central area provided some phenomenal pieces that portray unconventional designs for everyday products.

A few of our favourite Decorex 2017 exhibitors

If you visited the show this year, you couldn't miss the rotating installation which introduced some of this years' top trends and cutting edge designs. The Champagne Bar designed by Shalini Misra and inspired by the Great Exhibition of 1851 was another crowd stopping feature. And as the Great Exhibition was an incredible showcase of wonders from all over the world, Decorex International is nowadays the best showcase of renowned international brands of interior designers, and up and coming new talents of the designer world.

If you missed Decorex 2017, you can browse through some of our favourite exhibitors, hand picked for you across lighting and accessories, as we did for Decorex 2016.

The prominence of lighting designs was evident across the show and we loved the work showcased by Brand Van Egmond, Serip, Ochre and Le Deun.

We were also drawn to the unusual ceramic structures by Fenella Elms.

And it was also wonderful to see one of our Chelsea Designs Quarter colleagues, Tom Faulkner, showcasing some fantastic new pieces.

THE SHUTTER SHOP AT DECOREX 2017

This year, we collaborated with the talented Kate Cledwyn from KC Designs, whose wallpaper designs provided a back drop for our range of Interior Shutters and our Honeycomb Blinds collection that we launched at Decorex. These were very well received and can be designed as a stand alone blind or integrated with our plantation shutters to provide a great black-out window solution.
